HT8 Capillary Column - ideally suited to PCB analysis
SGE’s HT8 capillary column is a unique, ultra-high-temperature, polycarborane-siloxane (8% Phenyl equivalent) phase suited to analysis of Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) congeners. The unique phase properties and polarity affords excellent separation of PCB congeners that are un-resolvable using 5% phenyl phases.
For example, using HT8, the seven indicator congeners (IUPAC No's 28, 52,101,118,153,138 and 180) are separated from most of the potential co-eluting congeners, including the critical pairs 31/28 and 163/138.
